First of all, that is some damn fine television! I can't believe we have to wait until July to find out what happens next. *counts down impatiently* My head is all awhirl, even though I was spoiled for many of the happenings in this episode. I'm sure I'll have a lot more to say once I've had a chance to digest and rewatch, but here's my first reaction.

Ok, I have to ask... In the March 20-26 issue of TV Guide, they have an article (with SPOILER images I might add!!) where they claim to have all the juicy details on the season finale. There is one pic at the top with KLG2 spoiler!!!  )
But I have to say, I never saw that in the show. Not even close. Not in the prior episode, or in the preview for next season! Am I missing it? Where the frak is it from??? O.O Please, someone help me before I lose my mind!!!! PLEASE!!!!

I caved into my eagerness to know and watched the second part on Monday. My reaction was one of shock and amazement. And relief that we’ll get to see what happens next.

Such a worthy climax to an astonishing season of storytelling )

I have a semi-review of KLG2 up on my journal, but I should issue the warning that, while my tone of fannish analysis is usually fairly scholarly, this particular piece is composed largely of incoherent squeeing and profanity. If anyone is still interested:

Seriously, I haven't loved a show this much since I watched the first season of Homicide: Life on the Street and was like, wait, is television allowed to BE that good?

This is an interesting article from the Chicago Tribune: Battlestar Galactica Exclusive

The story hints at spoilers for S2 near the beginning so you may want to proceed with caution if you're spoiler-phobic.

If you don't care about spoilers or can skip past them with your eyes shut, you might find the information later in the story about the writing process to be interesting.

I wasn't going to post KLG commentary here until I had more detailed thoughts, but people are making v. cool comments over in my lj, in response to some rather short post-ep thoughts. Come join the party, if you like.

Slightly deeper thoughts, this time, I hope. I was half asleep when I wrote my first post last night, and it shows.

I am still just so Awesomatedly Wow'd by this whole show! I can't remember a show that dug into my heart deeper than this one does. Movies, yes. Books Definitely. But a tv show? WOW! if this is what is to come = I am SO ready to be a couch spud! >g< As we were talking this morning, one of the things that really struck me though is how the civilians - non fleet or political - folks are being characterized in this show & discussions of the show.
