I have a 5th Cylon Theory.... (spoilers for Ep 4:11)

Hi, I've been watching this community for a while, but only joined today.

Am based in the UK so get to see eps about 12 hours after they air (usually).

Having seen ep 4:11 and being BLOWN AWAY.. I think there is no single 5th. It's a 13th Tribe Myth that there is a 'model unknown '.

I think HUMANITY (as presented on Galactica), is in essence the '5th'.

Plus if the cylons have a 100% way of detecting who is and isn't cylon why have they never applied it to any of the (supposedly) Bone Fide Humans from the fleet - such as Rosalyn, or Adama?

Only eight epiosdes left. If every one is as jam packed as this one I'm not sure my little heart can take it ....

Oh and  would a 'meanwhile back on the OTHER cylon ship' aside have bene so difficult to fit in? There is no way the writers can just forget the entire cylon civil war and hope to get away with it !

1. I've had that thought (humanity is the Final Cylon) for a bit now, and am wondering if this may be the case still...

3. I have been wondering too whatever happened to Dr. Baltar's Cylon Detector (tm); the one he used in the first season (to hide Sharon's condition) and the one Doc Cottle had later (when checking out Adama's old buddy who escaped from that basestar.) Did that thing just disappear or what?

4. I remember D'anna saying right at the end of this ep. that she 'didn't want to be around when Cavill shows up,' so I guess that was their attempt to sneak in some comments on the current Cylon Civil War. I'm trusting they'll get back to it, but I agree a minor 'meanwhile' scene would have been good.

As a practical matter a "meanwhile" scene would have required bringing in expensive guest stars and additional sets and maybe a second unit to shoot it. That's a lot of time and money.

not if it was just our allied basestar; seeing what our Sharon/Six friends are coping with what the fleet is finding out, and also preparing (with some allied help?) for when Cavill and HIS team to arrive. THAT could have been done with a bit of extra funds and no expensive guest stars.

It still would have required more set manipulation, additional shooting time, and probably messing with the FX for some doubling here and there, which is (depending on how you do it) either expensive or (more commonly) merely time consuming.

If there's a hidden 13th colony, why not a hidden 13th model? And have we ever seen photos of (the final model) when she was younger?
