dead communities

Is it just me, or are a majority of the BSG communities dead? I wanted to enter some drabble contests, but most of the communities' last posts dated back to 2005. Sadness! What's up with that? And does anybody know of some good fanfic challenges that are still alive and running?

I've seen a lot of people who once loved the show become disenchanted since the middle of the second season, which is probably reflected in the inactivity you've discovered.

Have you looked at everything listed here (http://community.livejournal.com/newbieguide/2779.html)? That hasn't been updated for a while either, but perhaps there are still some active communities?

battlestar_blog is a rockin' lively community - people post there every day, we have weekly episode reviews, etc. :)

it also has a huge bsg links list (http://community.livejournal.com/battlestar_blog/profile) which lists over 70 lj communities... you can probably find somethin' there. hope that helps! :)
