I may be opening up a can of worms, and then it could just be discussion. Who knows.

I'm doing research for a fic, and I have a few questions:

- It's been shown that the polytheistic religion plays a part in the goings on of Galactica. Elosha was a priestess and performed funeral rituals, Kara prays regularly, Tyrol's said that before the attack his mother was an oracle, and then there's the biggie of Roslin playing "the religion card" relating to the Scrolls Of Pythia. So, have we seen anyone else at least act religious? I'm looking specifically at Lee, but other examples would be helpful.

- If not, is it canonically feesable for Lee to be a religious person, even if it's a single conversation with Elosha not seen on screen (early S2, somewhere in the middle of "Resistance" and "The Farm, Pt. 1")?

- Have Kara's figurines/idols/representations of the two Lords Of Kobol been named? I personally think they're Apollo and Artemis, but I want to be sure before I write anything down.

Any information regarding these subjects would be extremely helpful, because no one wants OOC-ness. Thanks so much!

will be crossposted, sorry for the inconvience

Kara prays to them, though, in the miniseries and after. "Lords of Kobol, hear my prayer."

I'd been working off the theory, after the beginning of the second season, that the Lords of Kobol *were* human, but after thousands of years their legend has evolved to deity. Their names certainly reflect the Greek pantheon: Apollo, Zeus, Athena, and their characteristics as stated in the show match the Greek gods.

For me, an interesting line of inquiry regards social and sexual attitudes of the Colonies - without the Judeo-Christian tradition, how much have things changed?

actually, what you're saying is what I meant. The Lords of Kobol were once people, the Founders of the Colonies, who have become deified over the centuries. I think those people could have become conflated with the Greek pantheon. I think that's actually more interesting than what I was thinking. Huh. Yeah, I like it. Lords of Kobol ficypoo!
