Season Finaly questions...

Hello all. I was looking for a place to discuss the Battlestar series, and I found this place.
I've read through a few posts discussing the last episode, but I wanted to discuss a spefic question I had about the episode

From visual references from the episode, it is obvious that the Pegasus is one of the newer Battlestar's. The XO of the Pegasus even cracks a joke about how surprised he was that Galactica managed to survive being as old as she was. So, my question is, why is it Adama never asked how Cain managed to avoid getting hacked by the Cyclons? We saw what happened when Galactica briefly networked their computers, and the repurcutions from that during the episode before meeting the Pegasus.

Perhaps this is one of the mysteries behind the Pegasus, and we'll find out this January...but it still perplexes me that this point was never brought up by anyone in the show, seeing as how it's been reinforced throughout the series as the reason Galactica was able to get away in the first place.

Well, some food for thought there...All in all though, a great episode, and I can't wait till January!

The Pegasus' computers were offline while it was in drydock for repairs, so it wasn't infected by the virus. Now, I rewatched the original miniseries, and it seems like Six had plenty of time to infect all of the fleet with the virus, so maybe it's still in there, lying dormant, much as it was with Galactica.

I agree that this was an important point that should've been addressed, especially since it came up in the episode just prior.

Moore said in his podcast that they addressed this in the script (and even filmed the scene), but it was cut for time. It's likely it'll reappear in the 1:15 minute version of Pegasus on the S2 DVDs.

Uh, theres only so much you can fit into an episode. Its not just to make money that they put deleted scenes into the DVDs.
