Ouch. Aren't they just? It must be at least 20 years since I last saw anything of Galactica 1980 and I'm still wincing at the memory.
For me, only two good things came out of that particular cheap and slipshod attempt to ride on the coattails of the original concept, and they are:
1. The somewhat amusing thought that Boxey grows up to be John Crichton's father (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0566382/). 2. The first appearance of the biological Cylons, in the shape of Roger Davis in "The Night the Cylons Landed".
And then you run like hell before you catch sight of Doctor Zee or the Super-Scouts. Ai-eeeeeee!
