Another thing I really liked was Adama's comment about the difference between the military and the police. I thought it was a wonderful reference to Iraq.
One thing I am absolutely loving about this series is how current events have really shaped the world the writers have created. I noticed his comment about the military vs. the police too, and the scene where officer Dualla is looking for a place to post a photo of her family and finds the wall of the missing just broke my heart. The allusions to 9/11 were so obvious, and yet so well done.
