i am sure as many old fans (since i was five) might be upset with the new realities of the battlestar universe i am quite pleased with this show. the sci fi channel can really make some movies bad enough that roger corman is laughing all the way to the bank. after one mini series and two episodes my father is even impressed. hands down the best thing the sci fi channel has done since it aired the prisoner on a channel that isn't PBS. my only complaint so far regards boxey. where's muffet? where's boxey? i wouldn't want him to suffer from wesley crusher syndrome but boxey/muffet was an important part of the classic series.

Understood, but one of the things lost due to attrition from the original series seems to be "cuteness". And the only reason for Boxey and Moffat was "cute". They just didn't fit into the more serious and grave version. And which, if any of the current players, has the slightest parental instincts? I'm thinking NONE.

Boxey, is he a child?? B/c Boomer did bring a boy on to the ship, but so far he isn't anything other than background filler.

I want Muffet back, too. These are very creative people. I am sure they can find a way to make him dark and evil so he will fit into the world of the show.
